The 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile 2025 is set to take place from April 8 to 13 at Fiera Milano Rho. This year’s edition will welcome more than 2,000 exhibitors from 37 countries, alongside 700 young talents and 20 Design Schools and Universities. The event includes, once again, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, the Salone Internazionale del Complemento d’Arredo, Workplace3.0, S.Project, SaloneSatellite, and the return of Euroluce, which will be hosting more than 300 brands from 25 countries.

Thought for Humans

 

This year’s Salone del Mobile presents “Thought for Humans,” a theme focused on human-centered design, sustainability, and craftsmanship. In Milan, a city where design influences everyday living, this edition will turn the city into an immersive experience, both at the fair and beyond. 

 

The Thought for Humans campaign, designed by Dentsu Creative Italy, will be displayed throughout the streets, transit areas, and public venues of Milan. Present in 13 airports, 350 train and subway stations, and 500 city buses, combining design with daily living. 

 

The photographer Bill Durgin brings the concept to life by combining human shapes with materials such as wood, metal, bioplastic, and fabrics, highlighting that design focuses on interaction rather than merely objects. 

 

Featuring large displays in prominent transit areas, Thought for Humans ranks among Salone’s most engaging campaigns, highlighting Milan’s status as the worldwide center for design and innovation.

At the center of the Salone del Mobile is the Euroluce International Lighting exhibition which focuses on opening doors to the future of lighting design. This event, held every two years, highlights innovative developments in lighting technology, featuring energy-saving systems as well as artistic displays that make environments stand out. 

 

This year, the event will showcase the Euroluce International Lighting Forum, offering masterclasses and discussions conducted by leading experts in the industry. Specialists will examine the interdependent connection between light and space, addressing topics like eco-friendly design, technology incorporation, and the emotional effects of skillfully designed lighting. The forum’s setting was skillfully crafted to reflect the natural interplay of light and nature, offering a peaceful yet vibrant space for deep analysis and discussion. 

 

 

 

SaloneSatellite 

 

Marking more than two decades of fostering new talent, SaloneSatellite serves as the ultimate platform for designers under 35 to establish their presence. This groundbreaking event of the Salone del Mobile provides a preview of the future of design, where new ideas and cutting-edge concepts are allowed to thrive. In its 25th anniversary edition, SaloneSatellite will showcase the creations of 700 emerging talents and partner with 20 global design institutions. 

 

The published work that comes with it is Universo Satellite. 25 anni / years of SaloneSatellite which reflects the evolution of this initiative, emphasizing its persistent challenge to the limits of traditional design and its role in creating new opportunities for innovation.  A visionary hub within Salone del Mobile, it provides a glimpse into the future of design, where bold ideas and experimental concepts take center stage, celebrating youth and innovation – an ode to a future as vibrant and unpredictable as the ideas it inspires.
